Our Story
Melinated Moms began as one chapter in Jatesha “Jaye” Wilson’s life was closing. As a newly divorced mother of two, she was searching for community. A safe space where she could express herself, process her emotions and ultimately belong. But when her search came up empty, she decided to become what she could not find. Melinated Moms was born out of a desire to cultivate, nurture and inspire a holistic environment that encompasses and holds space for all seasons of mothering.
As a company, we believe that all of us can grow, heal and become the most empowered versions of our authentic selves through communal care – because it’s time to finally lay these generational curses to rest. Since launching, we’ve grown in numbers and in communities serviced. Realizing the collective need for our offerings, co-founder Alexica Harrod joined the company and opened the second chapter in Western New York, focusing on community engagement with the moms in the Delavan Grider Community Center.

Community Support for Moms
Our holistic community Case management tool is designed to guide moms and women of childbearing age by providing the necessary tools they need to thrive in their motherhood, and not just survive it. We connect our clients with resources surrounding the 6 Dimensions of Health and Wellbeing.
Speaking Engagements
Since 2020, Melinated Moms has trained and certified more than 250 individuals through our signature Advocacy training, Find Your Roar. These individuals embody the framework to connect, engage and deliver an impactful message in alignment with underheard and underserved communities. Melinated Moms Business Network
Our community members are provided with the trusted resources they need to succeed from other moms and women business owners. Our Business Network consists of businesses and business owners that align with the mission and vision of Melinated Moms. Having this internal network is the reassurance our community relies on when looking for resources that cater to their needs of moms and women across the Melinated Spectrum.
Group Facilitation
Join us for our community conversations, trainings, workshops and live discussions. Our trained staff and Business Network members offer an array of options for connecting, engaging and empowering communities across race, ethnicity, culture and language.
